PACHADIS

TOMATO PACHADI

Ingredients:

Thick Curd - 1 cup
Tomato-1 Big chopped finely
Sugar -1/4tsp
Oil-1tsp
Salt-a pinch or as needed

Method:

Heat pan and Slightly saute tomatoes in oil for 1 minute only. Then add it to curd, sugar, salt and mix it and serve.
If tomatoes are too sweet reduce sugar.

Nutritional Info:

Protein, calcium, Vit C and Vit E.
Good for people who wants bland diet.



TOMATO RED ONION RAITA

Ingredients:
Fresh Ginger-1cm
Green Chillies-3
Peeled Red Onion-1
Tomato medium size-1
Cucumber-50gms
Curd/Yogurt-200gms
salt as needed
To Serve:
Chilli Powder-a pinch
coriander leaves chopped-1tbsp

Method:
Peel and finely chop the ginger. Finely slice the green chillies. Finely chop red onions, tomato and peeled cucumber that are cut into cubes after removing seeds.
Put curd in the bowl, add tomatoes, cucumber, onion, chillies and ginger and salt. Serve sprinkled with pinch of chilli powder and chopped coriander.
Let the curd be thick. If its watery then entire pachadi will become watery and tasteless.

Nutritional Info:
High in Calcium, protein , Vit A and Vit C with good water content from cucumber. Good for elderly and kids.


CUCUMBER ONION PACHADI
Ingredients:
cucumber cubed into small pieces(seeds removed and skin peeled)-1 cup
onion chopped finely-1/2 cup
coriander leaves chopped-3tbsp
Thick yogurt or curd-2 cups
salt as needed

Method:
Mix everything except salt. Mix salt just before serving as salt tends to bring water from cucumber and make pachadi watery. Serve with pulavs, Biriyanis or with chapathi.

NUTRITIONAL INFO:
Rich in calcium, protein, phosporous, carbohydrates and of course Energy, Vit C, sodium fat and traces of minerals.
Good for stomach and can be eaten without any main dish also.

Salads generally served in room temperature or chilled. BUt for this weather we cant have it chilled so for a change lets have warm or hot salad..... STIR FRY SALAD2 Ingredients: carrot-1 fresh green peas-3tbsp beans-4nos black sesame seeds-1tsp olive oil or sesame oil-1tbsp salt a pinch pepper or chilli flakes a pinch optional onion-1 Method: Using the peeler peel the carrots after cleaning it. cut bean into thin stripes. cut onion into thin pieces. You can use any type of vegetables in thin strips. Heat oil and stir fry all the vegetables by tossing it. Make sure the vegetables are just heated but not cooked more than half.
